Tito Ortiz says ‘I do’ and adieu to Huntington Beach home, selling it for $4 million

The mixed martial arts fighter, who plans a move to Florida, took an 11% price cut in the sale

Former Mayor Pro Tem Tito Ortiz and longtime girlfriend Amber Nichole Miller bid farewell to their Huntington Beach home with one last celebration, their wedding.

Images posted to Miller’s Instagram page show the couple tied the knot on November 11, less than a week before the Huntington Harbour home sold for $4 million, an 11% markdown from the last asking price.

The 3,887-square-foot Tuscan-style home with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and 20-foot vaulted ceilings initially hit the market in December 2021 for $6 million. It dropped the list price several times before it settled at $4.5 million in October.

It was built on close-knit Davenport Island in 2006, the home backs onto a 50-foot dock with space for a yacht and a Duffy, which listing agent Baron Bershaw of Compass said was a big attraction for the unidentified buyer represented by Elmer Gonzales of Park Group Real Estate.

“The whole benefit and reason why they bought it was so they could walk out of their house and get onto their boat and go,” Bershaw said by phone. “Also, it’s a cool little waterway. People paddleboard and swim in the water. And when Christmastime comes, everybody is out on their Duffys. You have stuff going on in your backyard all the time.”

Inside the two-story house, hand-laid limestone, wrought iron railing and custom woodwork adorn the space.

Other features include a wood-paneled office, a formal dining room with built-in china cabinets and a 300-bottle temperature-controlled wine cellar with a rolling library ladder.

The kitchen has high-end appliances and a large center island with seating. It opens to the family room.

Upstairs, there are two primary suites with balconies.

Property records show Ortiz bought the home in 2008 for $3.25 million. The mixed martial arts fighter who briefly dabbled in politics once shared it with ex-adult film star Jenna Jameson, the mother of his twin sons. Ortiz, who split from Jameson after seven years, was granted full custody of their boys. He also has an older son from a previous relationship.

Although he and Miller plan to move their family to Florida, his connection to the Surf City house raised its profile. A publicized estate sale brought out curious looky-loos and shoppers alike. The showings were also well attended and resulted in two offers.

“Ultimately it came down to the activities you can partake in with the ownership of the home, but (the ownership) was an exciting detail, especially for Huntington Beach,” Bershaw said. “This is arguably the biggest celebrity in Huntington Beach.”
