Lizzo is sounding the alarm over celebrity politics after Nicki Minaj sat down with MAGA-aligned conservative activist Erika Kirk.
“I’m getting texts about Nicki, and I’m like, what are you talking about?” Lizzo said. “I didn’t even know. Then I researched and saw what was going on.”While Lizzo stopped short of directly criticizing Minaj, she dismissed celebrity takes altogether. “Celebrities’ opinions of other celebrities do not matter,” she said. “My opinion of her does not matter.”
Instead, Lizzo warned fans to brace themselves for what she described as there will be many more celebs stepping forward to take the bag in exchange for access.

“You’re about to see an influx of people who see that it is more profitable and more beneficial to join that side,” she said. “It already started, and it’s going to continue.”
She blames Donald Trump. “This is Trump’s first year as president,” Lizzo said. “We’ve got three more years of people who are going to surprise you. It’s going to hurt your feelings.”
“There’s money behind everything,” she continued. “There are privileges behind every move, and I’m not surprised at all.”
