The prequel, adapted from George R.R. Martin’s beloved Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, unfolds nearly a hundred years before the events of the original series.

The new series promises to explore a very different Westeros — one still reeling from the echoes of dragonfire, yet teeming with fresh political intrigue, ancient rivalries, and the first stirrings of dynasties that will shape the realm for generations. Knight of the Seven Kingdoms stars Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, with Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen. The cast also includes Danny Webb, Shaun Thomas, Finn Bennett, Edward Ashley, Tanzyn Crawford, Henry Ashton, Youssef Kerkour, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, and Daniel Monks. The series comes from co-creators Martin and Ira Parker, with Parker serving as showrunner and executive producer.
