Kaia Gerber Looks Just Like Mom Cindy Crawford With Side-Part Hairstyle

Kaia Gerber is her mother Cindy Crawford’s doppelganger from head-to-toe, right down to her voluminous brunette hair. Gerber wore her hair parted to the side in a slight bouffant at the 2025 Women in Film Honors in Beverly Hills on November 6—perhaps a subtle nod to her character in Apple TV+’s Palm Royale, which is set in the 1960s and returns next week with season two.

Gerber wore a red satin minidress from Givenchy’s Fall 2025 collection to the fundraising gala, which she paired with black Christian Louboutin pumps. Her appearance Thursday came less than a week after she arrived with Crawford to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Art + Film Gala on November 1, mother and daughter both in Gucci floor-length dresses and exuding old Hollywood glamour.

In addition to their coordinated glittering gowns, Gerber and Crawford had matching blowouts at the event. Gerber opted for a fire engine red gown, while Crawford complemented her daughter in gold.

Like her mother before her, Gerber is a supermodel, and early in her career Crawford told Teen Vogue in 2016 that Gerber was “so much more confident than I was,” adding, “You have a sense of what feels right for you. I don’t worry about you staying true to yourself.”

In 2024, Gerber told The Wall Street Journal that she didn’t realize how famous her mom was until seeing the 2023 Apple TV+ docuseries The Super Models. “I was like, ‘I didn’t realize,’” Gerber told the outlet. “I knew you were iconic, but I didn’t understand when I was younger. I was starstruck in front of her after.”

“What she made of her career, there wasn’t really someone’s footsteps to follow,” Gerber added. “And I thought it was so cool that she always had that ambition, and she did things where people told her, ‘This will ruin your career. Don’t do this.’ And she trusted her instincts.”

Unlike her mom, Gerber has a blueprint to follow, adding that “I can actually ask my parents [for] advice on career things, on business things. That’s very rare, to have parents who are in the same industry or career as you, whose advice you actually can trust.”

Gerber said in a different interview that she admired her mom so much that no matter what career Crawford would have had—supermodel or not—“I would have wanted to do that,” Gerber said, adding, “She’s always been my biggest inspiration and hero.”

Crawford is a proud mom, telling People of her daughter that “She has a very good head on her shoulders.”

“When we work together, it’s really no different than if I was working with another professional,” Crawford said. Turning to Gerber—whom Crawford shares with husband Rande Gerber—“I feel like when I’m at work with you, it’s not like, ‘Oh, I am with my daughter. She’s also Kaia and she has her own place in the world.’”

Speaking of their lookalike hair, Crawford previously told InStyle, “I look at my daughter and notice that her hair is shiny and healthy looking—she has my old hair, and I want it back!”

“Everyone tells you your skin will age, but no one tells you your hair will age, too,” Crawford added. “I think we all expect to get gray hair, but I wasn’t aware that the texture was going to change.”

As for mother and daughter looking alike—which they certainly do, to an uncanny degree—Gerber apparently doesn’t see it: she said, per People, that she doesn’t really “see the resemblance,” adding, “but everyone says it’s there, so I trust them.”
