Marvel Studios has given us two rock solid movies this year, Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and a number of shows on Disney+. As the studio moves towards Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, there’s some semblance in regard to the wider universe that was amiss for a while. The studio’s new creative strategy is a win for both the studio and fans, especially those of Daredevil: Born Again. In a new interview with Agents of Fandom, Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum revealed what Marvel’s television future looks like, including the future of Daredevil: Born Again beyond the already confirmed Season 3.
Marvel series has been a hit or a miss on Disney+. While shows like Loki, Ms. Marvel, and X-Men 97 garnered fans’ interest, others have not. Things changed with Daredevil: Born Again, which went through a creative overhaul and made several changes behind the scenes that translated well on-screen. Winderbaum discussed Marvel’s new approach in a new interview with Agents of Fandom, “Not everything is gonna be produced,” he explained, “We’re like a normal studio, developing more than we make and only putting forward what we think is the best stuff. And stuff that can sustain multiple seasons.”
He further cited the example by saying “Daredevil: Born Again, ” which is an annual release every March for as long as people enjoy the show, boding well for possible Seasons 4, 5, and beyond. He further noted that the studio will have an “annual cadence starting next year,” for various shows, including X-Men 97, that he sees as “really important.” Born Again Season 2 has already wrapped filming, and the writer’s room for the third season is already open. So, fans can rest assured that Matt’s tale will continue as long as they support the show.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Will Bring Back “Karedevil”
Born Again season 1 was a hit for Disney+ as it brought back Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, and Elden Henson. The season ended on a cliffhanger note as Matt and Karen put together a small team to fight Fisk and his men. Meaning, fans who ship Matt and Karen will have a gala time, Cox told Collider previously, “They are reliant on one another, and they are in hiding and trying to do whatever they can as part of the resistance to in some way fight back against this regime and Mayor Fisk. At night, I think they go out, and they try to ruffle feathers and do anything they can to kind of find a crack in the armor. But then, of course, during the day, there’s a lot of hours where they’re just waiting, and luckily they like each other.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is streaming on Disney+, with Season 2 set to debut on March 4, 2026.
