Ariana Grande Literally Wears Emerald City on Opulent, Bedazzled Gown

There really is no place like home, so why not take it with you? That’s exactly what Ariana Grande did for the Wicked: One Wonderful Night performance. While fans will have to tune into NBC to experience the full magic of the concert, Grande gave a behind-the-scenes look at the whimsical show, including her many glamorous outfit changes.

The “Positions” singer shared a photo dump with her 372 million followers, and there is so much to love. In one particularly striking shot, Grande brought the great and powerful Emerald City to life on her dress. In the snap, she dons a stunning centerpiece that features a sparkly green corset bodice with a jagged plunging neckline, gold accents, and cinched waist that looks like the fictional city. The top transforms into a huge, voluminous bubblegum-pink ballgown skirt that is decorated with pleats, fluid lines, and sequins all over.

The R.E.M. founder paired the opulent creation with just a dainty charm necklace and tiny stud earrings. She swept her bronde locks into a slicked-back bun and glammed up with rosy makeup, complete with a smoked-out wing, peachy cheeks, and luminous, sun-kissed skin. In the image, Grande looks off to the side and holds her arms behind her, as she stands in front of a table full of pointed-toe pumps.

The actress kept the method dressing train going with several more cheerful outfits. In the cover slide, she wears a wispy, structural pink gown as she holds her co-star and good friend Cynthia Erivo’s hand. Erivo is clad in a slinky black dress with a square neckline, dramatic shoulders, long sleeves, and a floor-grazing skirt.

Another slide sees Grande in another pink frock, this time with a ruched bodice, spaghetti straps, and a tiered skirt. Her fourth outfit comes via a cream-colored strapless dress with a 3-D neckline, corset bodice, column skirt, and frayed threads. A fifth sees her in a voluminous ballgown studded with 3-D flowers; a sixth sees her in a muted-pink, semi-sheer gown; and a seventh sees her in a dazzling gold iteration.
