Jessica Alba has a new love in her life. The L.A.’s Finest alum has been romantically linked to Marvel star Danny Ramirez since July 2025, per People. At the time, a source told the outlet the “very new” couple were “having a good time together.” Fast forward to November, and things are clearly more serious—Alba and Ramirez went Instagram official following their red carpet debut at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala.

It wasn’t their first joint outing. Back in September, they didn’t shy away from PDA while attending the U.S. Open together. The Captain America: Brave New World actor’s loving gaze when looking at his date had the Internet abuzz. Another sweet moment for the couple came in mid-September, when the Honest Company founder and Ramirez were photographed holding hands on their way to celebrate his 33rd birthday.

The Trigger Warning actress filed for divorce from estranged husband Cash Warren in February 2025, listing their date of separation as December 27, 2024, People reported. The pair had been married for 16 years and together for nearly 20. They share three children.

“I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals,” the actress wrote in a statement.

While both Ramirez and Alba have kept their budding relationship out of the spotlight, their Instagram hard launch marks a major milestone for the couple. Here’s everything to know about Jessica Alba’s boyfriend, Danny Ramirez.

He grew up in Miami and studied acting at NYU.

Ramirez was born in Chicago and raised in Miami. While he loved movies from a young age, he initially imagined a future for himself as an athlete. A series of injuries triggered a pivot. He enrolled at New York University as an engineering student with an acting side hustle, then ended up studying acting at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts—and nabbing the NYU Stonestreet Studio’s Granite Award in 2018, as InStyle previously reported.

Ramirez credits Stonestreet, the university’s film acting studio for its drama students, with helping him grow as an actor. “Stonestreet taught me the ins-and-outs of the business, and they taught me that I have to be a kind and collaborative person—that I need to be incredibly hardworking and treat every audition as an opportunity to learn and better my skills,” he reflected in a 2015 interview with The Tab.

In a WWD profile from 2021, Ramirez recalled the motivational words the Mission Impossible star shared with him and his castmates at the start of filming. “He was like, ‘We believe that you guys are in the next wave of movie stars who are going to be making these films. So I promise you that door is always open.’ And he’s kept his word, which has been really nice.”

Ramirez was again asked about Cruise’s mentorship in his 2025 Men’s Health interview, and gave a heartwarming answer. “To this day, [Cruise and I,] we text all the time; he’s still one of the fastest repliers on the planet,” the Captain America: Brave New World actor shared.

He and Alba were friends first.

Yep, Ramirez and Alba had a friends-to-lovers arc. A source exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2025 that the two “were friends before it turned romantic.” The insider further explained that the actors initially met through mutual friends. “They run in the same social circle, and that is how they were connected,” they said.

Another source told People around the same time, “It’s still casual, but there is a connection.” As for why the pair went from private to public that month, they explained that TMZ publishing photos of the two boarding a plane together served as the catalyst. “She was trying to keep it quiet, but after they were photographed returning from Cancún, she doesn’t feel the need to hide it anymore,” the source told People. “She enjoys dating him. She’s pretty unapologetic about her life just in general and wants to enjoy as much as possible.”

In October 2025, one month before they hard-launched on Instagram, Alba took a subtler approach. The Dark Angel alum dropped a series of photos to the app recounting her recent trip to Australia.
