This will hurt RFK Racing financially, which could affect their overall performance.

Preece doesn’t deserve to lose his ride, and RFK Racing wants to continue as a three-car team. If push comes to shove, RFK Racing should keep Preece in the No. 60 car moving forward. There shouldn’t be a scenario in which he leaves unless RFK Racing believes it is too much of a financial burden.
