The 2026 Tour de France begins — in Spain — Saturday, July 4, in Barcelona.

The 113th Tour, cycling’s signature event, features two-time defending champ Tadej Pogacar and the back-to-back winner in 2022-23, Jonas Vingegaard.

Prominent among the Americans entered is Phoenix’s Brandon McNulty, a Deer Valley High alum.

The Tour can be seen on NBCSN and Peacock, with Saturday’s broadcast beginning at 7 a.m. MST (10 a.m. Eastern).

While the Slovenian Pogacar and Vingegaard, from Denmark, are the dominant riders and top choices in the sportsbook odds, McNulty is in a tie for 22nd, per DraftKings.

McNulty finished 19th at the 2022 Tour de France. Now 28, he is a key teammate on the UAE squad led by Pogacar.

After a sickness slowed McNulty earlier this year, he’s recovered and eager to compete.

“All spring was rocky, and then I ended up having a virus,” he told Escape Collective. “From there, three weeks off, and then from May 2 or 3 I was able to start riding, and then just training full for the Tour, and I’ve trained well, and came back well, so I’m back in shape.”

The 2026 Tour de France concludes July 26 in Paris.
