Tyreek Hill is working his way back from a devastating knee injury, but two familiar faces are already providing plenty of encouragement. Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce both reacted to Hill’s latest workout video on Instagram, immediately sending fans into a frenzy over the possibility of the three former teammates reuniting in Kansas City.

Hill, who was released by the Miami Dolphins in February, shared footage from his comeback workouts as he attempts to return from a dislocated left knee and multiple torn ligaments, including a torn ACL. The 32-year-old wide receiver appeared to be moving well during drills and also showed part of his rehabilitation work in a pool.
Mahomes and Kelce made sure Hill knew they were watching.
“Keep going brotha! 💪🏽🔥,” Mahomes wrote.
Kelce responded with four cheetah emojis and three fire emojis, referencing Hill’s famous “Cheetah” nickname.
Those comments were enough to ignite another round of Chiefs reunion speculation.

Chiefs fans want Tyreek Hill back in Kansas City
Fans quickly filled the replies with messages urging Kansas City to bring Hill home.
“Chiefs comeback,” one fan wrote.
“Y’all should bring him back on a vet minimum,” another added.
“You guys are so getting back together,” one response read.
There is currently no indication that the Chiefs are preparing to sign Hill. Mahomes and Kelce were publicly supporting a former teammate recovering from a significant injury, and their comments should not necessarily be viewed as recruiting efforts.
Still, it is easy to understand why Chiefs fans are allowing themselves to dream. Hill spent his first six NFL seasons in Kansas City after the organization selected him in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. His rare speed helped transform the Chiefs’ offense, especially after Mahomes became the starting quarterback in 2018.

Hill recorded four 1,000-yard receiving seasons with Kansas City and earned six Pro Bowl selections during his time with the franchise. He helped the Chiefs reach four consecutive AFC championship games and win Super Bowl 54 alongside Mahomes and Kelce.
Kansas City traded Hill to Miami in March 2022 after the two sides were unable to agree on a contract extension. The Chiefs received five draft picks in the deal, while Hill signed a massive extension with the Dolphins.

Could Tyreek Hill actually return to the Chiefs?
A reunion would make for one of the NFL offseason’s biggest stories, but several questions would need to be answered first. Hill’s health is the most obvious concern. He appeared in only four games last season before suffering the injury that ended his year. He finished with 29 receptions for 265 yards and one touchdown, a sharp drop from the spectacular numbers he posted earlier in his Miami career.

The Chiefs would need to determine whether Hill can still create separation and stretch defenses following such extensive damage to his knee. A social media workout can provide encouragement, but it cannot replicate the speed, contact and sudden changes of direction required during an NFL game.
Kansas City also enters training camp with a crowded receiver room. The Chiefs may not view Hill as an essential addition unless injuries or disappointing performances create a clearer need. The financial side could help make a reunion possible. Hill may need to accept a short-term, incentive-heavy contract to prove he can remain healthy and productive. Kansas City could potentially offer him a familiar offense, an established quarterback and another opportunity to pursue a championship.
There is also no question that Hill already has the support of the Chiefs’ two biggest stars. Mahomes, Kelce and Hill formed one of the most explosive trios in NFL history. Their latest interaction does not guarantee they will play together again, but it was enough to remind Kansas City fans how dangerous that reunion could be.
For now, Hill’s comeback remains the priority. If he proves his knee is ready, however, the Chiefs reunion talk is not going away.
