While I cover Michigan State basketball and football for this website, I have a personal passion for the NBA. I love the NBA, and I also enjoy consuming NBA mock drafts in the offseason, which also helps inform me about different players to keep an eye on during the college basketball season. For over a year now, I have heard Jordan Scott’s name mentioned with increasing frequency.
In a recent mock draft with CBS Sports’ Adam Finkelstein, Sam Vecenie added, as an honorable mention, that he is ‘hearing’ good things about Michigan State basketball forward Jordan Scott.

Personally, I have felt that Scott will be an NBA player someday since his first minutes in green and white. At 6-foot-8, with a clean shooting stroke, impressive defensive acumen, and an overall great feel for the game, Scott is everything modern NBA teams seem to covet in their players.
For MSU fans reading this who might be concerned that Scott could jump to the NBA after this season, at least at this time, that shouldn’t be a major concern. I still haven’t seen Scott listed in any official mock drafts; his name just gets brought up as someone to keep an eye on. However, if he has a strong season, don’t be surprised if he starts to get some major attention from NBA teams.
