FREEDOM PLAINS – With the Section 1 girls soccer tournament concluding today, we’ll have live coverage the Class AA, A and C finals at Arlington High School.
Arlington edged Albertus Magnus in a round of penalty kicks in the Class AAA final on Saturday, though both teams advance to the regional rounds thanks to the Section 1 Class AAA having a state tournament at-large bid. Likewise for Class B, where Pleasantville dominated the final, winning its first Class B championship since 2019, but they’ll advance to the regionals alongside runner-up Briarcliff.

The stakes are higher in the remaining three finals, though, as they’ll be played under traditional conditions, with only the winners moving on.
