Jay Allen gave one couple a special gift.

On Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 9, the singer, 39, shared the story of Brett Fine Jr., 27, and his girlfriend Alyssa Kempf as he sang them his new hit song “This Time Tomorrow.”

In the video, Allen sings the emotional song to the couple as they sit on a couch together and hold hands. Fine could be seen wearing a suit and a black cap over his head, while his fiancée wore a silk one-shoulder dress.

During one point in the video, Kempf becomes emotional as she looks into Fine’s eyes. She then gently strokes his hand as she holds it in hers. At the end of the video, Allen bends down and gives them both a hug.

In his caption for the video, Allen revealed that the 27-year-old was diagnosed with “incurable glioblastoma brain cancer.”

Glioblastoma is a highly aggressive cancer that “starts as a growth of cells in the brain or spinal cord” and then “grows quickly and can invade and destroy healthy tissue,” according Mayo Clinic

The musician went on to note that the This Time Tomorrow Foundation — a non-profit that provides financial support to individuals and families fighting cancer — awarded Fine a “financial gift.” Instead of using the money for treatment, Fine decided to use it for love.

Fine used the money that he received to “buy a ring and propose” to Alyssa, which he did on a lake in Indiana, surrounded by family and friends.

Kempf shared photos of the lakeside proposal on Instagram in July, which included a close-up snap of the ring Fine purchased — a square cut diamond on a pave setting with a silver band. In one photo she held hands with Fine as she showed off the ring and held it up next to a cake that read, “Just Engaged.”

“Allyssa Fine has a nice ring to it 💍😉,” she captioned the post.

As for Allen, he shared on social media last month that he was releasing his new song “This Time Tomorrow” to help “provide financial support for individuals & families fighting cancer.”

He previously revealed on Instagram that he created the song after losing his “grandma to lung cancer when I was 17.” He wrote, “I pray this song becomes an echo of my grandma’s wisdom and can be an anthem to those who need it.”
