Jake Paul explains vision behind MVP-PFL merger

For Paul, the merger is the culmination of a vision that began withcreating more opportunities for fighters than the traditionalpromotional model has offered.

“We started MVP to disrupt a broken model,” Paul said. “We wantedto give fighters fair pay and a bigger, modernized stage to becomeglobal superstars. Joining forces with PFL accelerates that visionby a decade. We now have a scaled platform to give today’s fanswhat they want: elite talent mixed with culture, lifestyle, andmassive social velocity.”

The 29-year-old emphasized that the promotion’s ambitions extendbeyond individual fighters.

“MVP was always bigger than me and bigger than any one fighter,” hesaid. “MVP is an inevitable movement that needs to happen for theathletes, and now we have all the resources we need to buildsomething that changes this sport forever.”

The combined promotion has pledged to operate under a fighter-firstphilosophy, saying it intends to provide more equitablecompensation for fighters. Paul argued that advances in artificialintelligence will increase demand for live sporting events and makepremium combat sports properties even more valuable.

“I have more conviction in MVP than ever, driven by theproliferation of AI, which will only increase the value of real, live experiences and the sports properties that can bring fanscloser to the athletes they love,” Paul said.

Paul added that he intends to continue competing while also servingas a promoter as the newly merged company prepares to stage fiveevents in August.
