There is something different about endurance racing.
After experiencing Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, I completely understand why fans become obsessed with IMSA and sports car racing.
The combination of prototypes, GT cars, night racing and a 10-hour battle creates an atmosphere unlike anything else in motorsports.

Road Atlanta Was the Perfect Introduction
Petit Le Mans was easily one of my favorite racing experiences of the year.
Watching the field attack Road Atlanta for hours was incredible, but the best part was seeing how the race constantly changed.
Cars that looked unbeatable early could run into trouble later, while teams had to balance speed, traffic, fuel, tires and strategy throughout the night.
That level of unpredictability is what makes endurance racing so special.
I Want More in 2027
As someone who primarily covers NASCAR and IndyCar, IMSA gave me an entirely different perspective on motorsports journalism.

There are more stories happening at once, more drivers to talk to and more strategy unfolding every lap.
After covering Petit Le Mans, I know I want IMSA and endurance racing to become a much bigger part of my 2027 coverage.
Road Atlanta hooked me.
Now I want to see what the rest of the endurance racing world has to offer.
