We keep tabs on former Minnesota Vikings here, and one of them is now looking for a new team after being released ahead of Week 7.
The New York Giants released Jihad Ward after appearing in just two games for them. He had started the season on the Vikings’ practice squad and was signed off of it. NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo was the first to report the news of his release.
Ward played 504 snaps in 2024 for the Minnesota Vikings. He split his time at various spots on the defensive line from the interior to the edge. That versatility helped him register 31 pressures, tied for third on the team, according to Pro Football Focus, and it led to him signing with the Tennessee Titans in 2025.
