Texas A&M basketball is off and running under new head coach Bucky McMillan, gaining another big-time recruit Thursday when rising senior guard Duke Miles committed to the Aggies.
The 6-foot-2 playmaker from Montgomery, AL, was named to the 2024 All-Big South First-Team and the 2024 All-Big South Tournament Team.
Miles just finished his junior season at Oklahoma. He averaged 9.4 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game, and shot 51.4% from the field, 43% from beyond the arc and 83.1% from the free throw line.
It’s a big grab for A&M on the recruiting trail. They entered McMillan’s tenure with just one scholarship athlete remaining on the roster.
The Aggies will look to add pieces to the roster that can help smooth the transition into “Bucky Ball” under their new head coach. Bucky Ball is a fast-paced, high-effort style on both ends of the floor. McMillan replaces Buzz Williams, who served six seasons as A&M’s head coach.
