The Los Angeles Dodgers suffered a heavy loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, as they allowed 12 runs without generating much offense.
Emmet Sheehan’s rough month of June continued, as the Dodgers pulled him following just 3.1 innings of work. During his start, Sheehan allowed eight hits and six runs while striking out four batters.
Similarly to Saturday’s loss to Baltimore, the Orioles jumped on the Dodgers to establish a lead in the early goings. The first four hitters in their lineup reached base safely, and two runs crossed before the Dodgers hot out of the first frame.

Max Muncy drove in the Dodgers’ only run of the game on Sunday, hitting a single to left field to bring home Shohei Ohtani from second.
The Dodgers got unlucky in the next inning when Taylor Ward hit a solo homer, as Dodger Stadium was the only park in MLB which the ball would have cleared the fence.
Another homer followed in the third inning, as Colton Cowser hit his eighth home run of the season to make the score 4-1. Cowser struck again for the Orioles in the following inning, hitting a two run single to make the difference five.
The Dodgers managed to keep the Orioles off of the scoreboard for a few more innings, but the visitors put the game well out of reach in the seventh inning. Jeremiah Jackson drove in a run with a double later in the inning, and after the Dodgers intentionally walked Gunnar Henderson, Pete Alonso hit a three-run homer to make the score 10-1.
