Although the college football transfer portal closed a few months ago, any player who entered it during the two-week window remains eligible to join a new program.
The Colorado Buffaloes took advantage on Saturday, adding Monroe University transfer defensive end Sam Gadie. CU defensive line coach Dante Carter hinted during his most recent media availability that the Buffs were not done adding to his room.

Despite coming from the junior college ranks, Gadie is no stranger to the Power Four level, playing at Rutgers for three seasons from 2022-24. He did not see any snaps with the Scarlet Knights.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound pass rusher decided to take his talents to the JUCO level, where he totaled 13 tackles, eight TFLs and 4.5 sacks in just six games last season. He comes to the Buffs with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Gadie joins a defensive end room with mostly new faces, including fellow junior college transfer Domata Peko Jr.
Colorado’s new-look defense will be in action at Folsom Field for the Black and Gold spring game on April 11.
