After failing to complete a trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Celtics will look to add young talent to their roster during the 2026 NBA Draft.

Boston will enter the draft with the No. 27 overall pick in the first round and No. 40 overall pick in the second round. The Celtics won’t be able to acquire an elite prospect that far down the draft board, but they have still found valuable players like Payton Pritchard, Baylor Scheierman and Hugo Gonzalez in that range.
Of course, Boston could include those picks in a trade package if the team is focused on adding a big name following the failed pursuit of Antetokounmpo.
