Brooks Koepka commits to play in final Rocket Classic

One of golf’s biggest stars is coming to Detroit.

Five-time major winner Brooks Koepka has committed to play in the 2026 Rocket Classic, taking place from July 30-Aug. 2 at Detroit Golf Club in Detroit.

Koepka primarily played on the LIV Golf tour from 2022-25, but left in December to resume his career on the PGA Tour.

Koepka, who won the 2023 PGA Championship for his last major victory, has never appeared in the Rocket Classic, which is folding after 2026.

Rocket Classic has already gotten commitments from some of the most notable golfers in the world, including world No. 4 Cameron Young, No. 5 Russell Henley and two-time U.S Open champion Wyndham Clark. Koepka, who incurred significant penalties for returning to the PGA Tour from LIV, is currently ranked No. 118 in the world.

Aaron Rai, who won the 2026 PGA Championship and is ranked as the No. 17 player in the world, was previously listed as a commitment but is no longer on the list shared by the Rocket Classic.

Here’s a list of all the players who have announced their commitment to play in Detroit for the Rocket Classic, as of July 13. The final 156-player field will be announced a few days before the tournament.
