While Jacob Misiorowski‘s record-breaking season, likely to end in a Cy Young Award, warrants a lot of attention, what Jackson Chourio has done this year, and throughout his MLB career so far, cannot go unnoticed.
As Sarah Lang shared, Chourio just made MLB history that no other player has ever done before. Chourio became the first player ever to have at least 20 homers and 20 stolen bases in three seasons before turning 23 years old.

“Jackson Chourio is the first player in MLB history with three 20-HR/20-SB seasons before turning 23 years old,” Langs shared.

Chourio is still just 22 years old, and won’t turn 23 until March 29, which would be right around the start of his fourth MLB season.
But through three years in the big leagues already, Chourio has made some incredible MLB history with this home run and stolen-base feat.
In his rookie season, across 148 games and 528 at-bats, Chourio hit 21 homers and stole 22 bases. In 2025, his second year in the big leagues, Chourio hit 21 homers and stole 21 bases.

Now in 2026, Chourio has hit 24 home runs and stolen 21 bases, making it three straight seasons with at least 20 homers and 20 steals.

That feat alone is very impressive, but other players have accomplished that feat before. But what makes what Chourio did so special is that he accomplished this feat before turning 23 years old.
He has 20 homers and 20 stolen bases in three straight seasons to begin his MLB career, and all before turning 23 years old. That has never happened before in MLB history.
This is quite the way to begin an MLB career for Chourio, and with the incredible record-breaking season from Misiorowski taking center stage for the Brewers this year, Chourio’s incredible feat of history has flown under the radar.
