The Chicago Bears and star quarterback Caleb Williams were able to take care of business on Thursday Night Football against the New England Patriots. It was a hard-fought game, but the Bears came out on top by a final score of 30-24.
Williams played another strong game in his second outing since returning from a hamstring injury. He completed 22 of his 33 pass attempts for 308 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also chipped in with 18 yards on the ground.

D’Andre Swift had another nice game on the ground as well, carrying the football 22 times for 78 yards and a touchdown. Luther Burden III chipped in four catches for 130 yards and a score, while Colston Loveland caught seven passes for 69 yards and a touchdown.
With the win, Chicago moved to 5-2 on the season. Once again, the Bears are looking like a Super Bowl contender in the NFC.
All of that being said, Williams drew some strong words from popular sports talk show host Colin Cowherd after defeating the Patriots.

“Everybody is afraid to say it, I’m not. I think Caleb is the most talented quarterback in this league,” he said.
At the end of the day, Williams has been playing at an incredibly high level this season. In four games, the 24-year-old quarterback has completed 71 percent of his passes for 1,020 yards, five touchdowns, and an interception. He has also picked up 128 yards and scored two more touchdowns on the ground.
Last season, Williams led the Bears to the playoffs and won the NFC North division title. He has completely turned the Chicago franchise around since being picked No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Only time will tell whether or not Williams can keep his current pace up or not. If he does, the MVP conversation could be a possibility.
