TCU baseball remains red hot in the transfer portal, picking a commitment up from Saint Mary’s outfielder Tanner Griffith. The 5-foot-10 junior started 62 games for the Gaels, who advanced to the NCAA Tournament this spring. Griffith slashed .342/.477/.545 with 79 hits, 22 doubles, five triples, five home runs, 60 runs and 42 RBIs during the 2026 season. Griffith posted career-highs in several statistical categories and led Saint Mary’s with 30 multi-hit games this spring. He finished the year as an All-West Coast Conference Second Team honoree.
Griffith has spent his entire three-year career at Saint Mary’s. As a freshman in 2024, he slashed .300/.458/.371 with 21 hits over 70 at-bats in 52 games (17 starts). Griffith became a full-time starter in 2025, making 58 starts in 61 games and hitting .247 with a .413 on-base percentage. The Livermore, California native, who played his high school baseball at De La Salle, will have a chance to start right away for the Horned Frogs next spring.
