After a convincing home win over Cincinnati, Arizona heads on the road to face West Virginia in a game that oddsmakers think the Wildcats should come out on top.
Arizona has opened as a 2.5-point favorite against West Virginia, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is 60.5 points. The game kicks off at 9 a.m. MST and will air on TNT Sports.

The Wildcats (4-1) are coming off their first cover of the season by beating the breaks off Cincinnati 34-7. Arizona was favored to win by about a touchdown.
The win didn’t woo over many AP Top 25 voters — Arizona received 19 votes in this week’s poll — but for bookies it was enough to give the Wildcats favorite status as they travel 2,000 miles to Morgantown to play Rich Rodriguez‘s squad.
Arizona enters the matchup with a 1-4 record against the spread (ATS) this season, having failed to cover in its first four games. Arizona is 1-1 in road games with a loss at BYU and a win at Washington State.
The Wildcats are 1-1 in the eastern time zone as Big 12 members. They lost to UCF in 2024 and beat Cincinnati in 2025.

As for Arizona’s opponent, West Virginia (3-2) is coming off a tough 45-42 road loss to Iowa State. The Mountaineers traded scores with the Cyclones throughout the day, and WVU held a four point lead going into the game’s final five minutes.
Iowa State scored a late touchdown and the Cyclones’ defense forced an interception on the ensuing Mountaineers drive to send Rich Rod packing.
West Virginia opened the season with three straight wins over Coastal Carolina, UT Martin and Virginia, then dropped its Big 12 opener to Oklahoma State at home before losing in Ames. West Virginia is 2-2-1 ATS.
The Mountaineers boast one of the top rushing offenses in the nation, averaging 294 yards on the ground. Running back Cam Cook has rushed for 140+ yards in four games this season and has six rushing touchdowns to his name.

Quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. has 11 rushing touchdowns compared to seven touchdowns through the air, as well as one interception.
As good as West Virginia’s offense has been, their defense has struggled to bring the Hard Edge mentality that Rich Rod preaches. The Mountaineers have allowed 86 points over their first two Big 12 games.
