Despite the discourse surrounding Liam Hemsworth‘s replacement of Henry Cavill as the new Geralt of Rivia still raging on, The Witcher Season 4 has lost its place in the streaming charts. Right now, the historical series can’t even earn a spot in the top ten, perhaps due to the severe audience backlash it has received, but certainly due to facing some stiff current competition. At the time of writing, it is The Beast in Me, a mystery series starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys, that is the Netflix chart topper in the U.S., but there are many more options for those who have already binged all eight episodes. To help you decide what to watch next, here are three shows you should give a try on Netflix this week.

Rotten Tomatoes: 92% | IMDb: 8.3/10
If you, like millions of others, love a British crime series, why not try one of the best of the 21st century? Broadchurch, created by future Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall, stars David Tennant as D.I. Alec Hardy and Olivia Colman as his partner, D.S. Ellie Miller, as they investigate the devastating murder of a young boy in a quiet, close-knit coastal community. With the locals rocked by the news, it quickly becomes clear there are many more secrets yet to be unearthed as a slate of suspects arises.
Packed with twists and turns as any good crime series is, Broadchurch is much more impressive than its peers thanks to its dedication to the emotional core of its story. Introducing us to a stacked ensemble from its very first moments, the show treats each with respect and allows their many intricate stories and relationships to be explored, never reducing them to mere plot devices. If that isn’t enough to entice you to check out Broadchurch, then the promise of a pre-Wicked Jonathan Bailey should help make up your mind.

‘Resident Alien’ (2021–2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 98% | IMDb: 8.0/10
Earlier this year, one of Syfy’s best shows, Resident Alien, came to an end after four fantastic seasons. However, there are still many people who haven’t sampled what this genius sci-fi comedy has to offer, with the show only earning around 300,000 viewers per episode. If that is you, and you’re a fan of science-fiction tales told through a cleverly comedic lens, then you’ll want to binge Resident Alien this week.
The series stars Alan Tudyk as an alien who crash-lands on Earth and must take on the identity of a human doctor, Harry. However, little does the cozy Colorado community around him know that Harry is actually on a mission to destroy humanity, a target he finds increasingly difficult as he learns of the quirky beauty this planet has to offer. Sporting a near-perfect 98% Rotten Tomatoes rating and a string of episodes packed with memorable moments, you won’t want to miss Resident Alien.
