‘Orphan Black: Echoes’ (2023)

When starting a list of series recommendations on Netflix this weekend, it’s important to turn to the newest arrivals on the platform. The best of the latest batch of Netflix newbies is Orphan Black: Echoes, a spin-off of the critically acclaimed sci-fi series Orphan Black. Set 37 years after its predecessor, Orphan Black: Echoes follows a group of women as they fight a system of scientific manipulation on the hunt for answers about their identity.

Following on from one of the most intelligent sci-fi series of the decade is no easy feat, and although Echoes isn’t quite as brilliant as the original, it is still a follow-up worthy of another look. Created by Anna Fishko, the series features just 10 episodes in total, making for a perfect weekend binge-watch that won’t interrupt your entire schedule. For fans of Netflix’s Jessica Jones, Echoes is a must-watch simply for the lead performance of the electric Krysten Ritter. Don’t miss out on Orphan Black: Echoes this weekend.
