The WNBA ended its season on a high note with an awesome seven-game series between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream. The Valkyries won the championship in just their second season.
Now it’s the offseason, and teams will be building in hopes of competing for next year’s championship.

The New York Liberty have a big three in Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones. They can’t afford to waste this title window, and it’s always championship or bust for this squad.
The Liberty have already decided whether their current head coach is the right person to lead this team.

The New York Liberty announced that they will not retain head coach Chris DeMarco after just one season. DeMarco went 26-18 in his first year with the Liberty. They finished as the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and upset the #1 seed Minnesota Lynx in the first round. The Atlanta Dream eventually swept New York in Round 2 of the playoffs.
Second-round exits are clearly not good enough for this organization, and DeMarco paid the price. He spent the previous 14 years as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors before joining the Liberty.
