Amani Hooker pulled off the hat trick on Sunday afternoon.
Yet somehow, that wasn’t enough to shake Joe Burrow.
Burrow, despite throwing three interceptions to the same defensive back, still managed to lead the Cincinnati Bengals to a wild 43-36 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans. Burrow threw five touchdowns in the afternoon, and ran in a sixth in the extra period to seal the victory.

Hooker, meanwhile, is now the first player to record three interceptions in a single game since Jordan Whitehead did with the New York Jets in 2023.
Hooker’s first interception came in the opening quarter after burrow just launched a ball deep for Ja’Marr Chase. The pass was way off the mark, though, and Hooker was really the only player in the area after Chase cut the wrong way.
Then, after the Bengals took a one-point lead into halftime, Hooker picked Burrow off again on just the fourth play of the third quarter. Burrow tried to hit Mike Gesicki deep, but Hooker was there to jump in front of it.

Unfortunately for the Titans, though, they fumbled it away two plays later after Cam Ward was drilled in the backfield. That led to a 17-yard touchdown pass to Tee Higgins, which put the Bengals up 21-13 at the time.
Hooker then got his third and final pick near the end of the third quarter. Burrow again tried to find Chase deep, but Hooker cut it off and came up with the easy interception.
Hooker entered the weekend with just three interceptions on the season. The former Iowa star, who the Titans selected in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, has now doubled his count.
Despite his bond with Hooker, Burrow threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Higgins late in the fourth quarter to tie the game back up. He then ran in a 9-yard score himself in overtime to secure the win.
Burrow went 38-of-48 for 462 yards with five touchdowns and his three interceptions in the win, which pushed Cincinnati to 5-2 on the year.
