The Indianapolis Colts have had a few busy few days. Along with trades that sent defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers and guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, wide receiver Josh Downs reportedly requested a trade and star running back Jonathan Taylor has been at the center of trade rumors. At this point, it doesn’t sound like anyone’s job on the Colts is all that safe, even with plenty of time before the November 10 trade deadline.

While the storylines around Indy have been constant, Taylor’s name has been the most intriguing to monitor. In seven games this season, the 27-year-old running back has totaled 587 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 4.2 yards per carry. Although 4.2 ypc would be the lowest of his career, he remains a top-tier running back capable of carrying a heavy load.

With Taylor’s future still in doubt, the running back spoke with the media on Thursday and was clear about where he stands on a potential trade.

“I haven’t heard anything, and I can’t control that,” Taylor said. “Obviously, like you guys know, I’m always proud to wear the horseshoe, proud to be here. And similar to Quentin and Buck, they were proud to wear the horseshoe. They were proud to be here. But obviously, circumstances may cause otherwise. So hopefully that day may not come, but I can’t control that.”
