This week, we asked Jacksonville Jaguars fans which side of the ball they expect to be better this season. The Jags’ offense and defense each finished 11th in the NFL in total yards (gained/allowed) in Year 1 under Liam Coen, though the latter unit ranked better in terms of yards per play and DVOA.
Most respondents picked the offense — a literal vote of confidence in the unit going forward.
With head coach candidates Grant Udunski and Anthony Campanile back to coordinate each side of the ball, the Jaguars are primed to make a leap on both offense and defense, but expectations are especially high for the offense. Can Coen, Udinski, and the rest of Jacksonville’s offensive staff coax an MVP-caliber season out of Trevor Lawrence? Will the running game provide enough juice to make this a top-five NFL offense?

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Jaguars have +2700 odds to win the Super Bowl, and Lawrence has +1600 odds to win MVP.

Despite a more difficult schedule they have the ability to place in or near the top ten in all 3 categories IF they stay relatively healthy.
