Drew Baldridge Expecting Baby No. 2 with Wife Katherine (Exclusive)

Drew Baldridge is expanding his family!

The country artist, 33, is expecting his second baby with his wife Katherine, sharing the exciting news exclusively with PEOPLE ahead of the 2025 BMI Country Awards. Baldridge tells PEOPLE he and his wife are “so excited” for their new bundle of joy.

“Katie and I are so excited to welcome our second son this April,” says the Country Born hitmaker. “We’ve always dreamed of having a couple of kids, and we feel so blessed to be adding another little one to our family.”

The pair, who are already parents to almost 3-year-old son Lyric, are expecting another boy in the spring. Katherine, who jokes she’s officially “outnumbered” by boys, tells PEOPLE that above all she wants a “healthy baby.”

“I was already outnumbered by boys, but now it’s official,” says Katherine with a laugh. “All I want is a healthy baby, and knowing that Lyric will get to be a big brother makes this even more special.”

Baldridge, who tied the knot with Katherine in May 2021, goes on to share that despite all of his professional wins this year, nothing compares to being a father.

“2025 has been an incredible year with so many professional firsts, and I’m beyond grateful,” he says. “But nothing comes close to the joy of being a father.”

The “She’s Somebody’s Daughter” singer-songwriter and his wife tied the knot at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Speaking to PEOPLE at the time of their wedding, the couple said they were looking forward to “starting a family.”

“We started talking about starting a family and a life together, and we knew we needed to take this next step so we could make that happen,” Baldridge said of getting married.

“Katie makes me a better man,” he added. “She reminds me to put others first and to love with a bigger heart. I really can’t picture my life without her anymore and I know if she wasn’t in it, I’d feel empty.”
