New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton popped the question in a special place.
The NFL star, 28, announced his engagement to reigning U.S. track and field heptathlon world champion Anna Hall, 24, in a joint Instagram post on Friday, Nov. 14. The couple shared several engagement photos, and revealed the sentimental significance behind the location of their proposal in the caption.
“My whole entire heart,” Hall wrote. “In the exact place we first met i got to say yes to me & you forever ❤️.”
Slayton and Hall met at a running track and started dating sometime in 2024. In a full circle moment, Slayton got down on one knee at that same track where their romance began. The couple made their relationship Instagram-official in November 2024 when Hall shared photos of them hugging and holding hands.
In the engagement photos, Hall smiles as Slayton slips a sparkling diamond ring onto her left-hand ring finger. The pair matched in black for the heartfelt moment and embraced in several other shots.
Friends of the athletic power couple congratulated them in the comments section, including several of the groom-to-be’s teammates.

“Congratulations baby!!!!!❤️” wrote running back Cam Skattebo, with quarterback Jaxson Dart playfully commenting, “Mom and Dad ❤️.”
“Wow letssss goooo!!!” wrote quarterback Russell Wilson.
Fellow Olympians also showed their support for Hall, including track and field star Jasmine Moore who gushed, “so happy for yall😍😍😍.” Gymnasts Suni Lee, Leanne Wong, and Kayla DiCello also expressed their congratulations.

After announcing her engagement news, Hall posted a video on TikTok of herself flashing her new sparkler with “Where Is My Husband!” by Raye set as the audio. “Prepare to be sicka me,” she wrote, suggesting she’s ready for her bridal era.
In another TikTok video, Hall shared a compilation of videos and photos with her new fiancé over the course of their relationship, captioning the post, “me & u.”
