Former NBA center Shaquille O’Neal was spotted on a date with a noteworthy fitness model and internet influencer this Tuesday. The four-time NBA champ was caught on camera entering a Los Angeles hotspot for dinner with Brittany Renner by his side, sparking rumors of a relationship between the two. However, TMZ, who broke the story, claims they’re told that Shaq and Brittany are just friends.

The pair are said to have arrived at the Beverly Hills Hotel shortly after 6 PM and shared a meal before leaving around two hours later. TMZ adds their sources insisted that there’s nothing going on between the two, who have been friends for a long time and were simply keen on reconnecting.

While Shaq has been on the dating scene for many years, having split from former wife Shaunie in 2011, it appears this latest sighting was part of an innocent catch-up over a meal.

Renner, meanwhile, has a child with Charlotte Hornets player PJ Washington and hasn’t shied away from speaking about her experiences with various athletes over the years. She met with Deion Sanders and the Jackson State football team back in 2021 and spoke to the players about groupies.

As it happens, Renner just signed up to be on the next season of Basketball Wives, which Shaunie is executively producing. Go figure…
