Broadway’s Eva Noblezada marries boyfriend Leo Roberts | Latest Celebrities News and Gossips

Eva Noblezada, 21, tied the knot with boyfriend Leo Roberts, who’s also a stage performer, in New York City Saturday, as she posted a pair of shots on Instagram of she and her new spouse.The Miss Saigon star wrote, ‘Mr & Mrs Roberts,’ with two emojis of hearts to commemorate her big day.It’s been a breakout year for the North Carolina native, who racked up a huge career achievement in being nominated for Lead Actress in a Musical at June’s Tony Awards in her first stint on Broadway as Kim in Miss Saigon.She lost out to entertainment icon, Hello, Dolly!’s Bette Midler.Her ascent to The Great White Way has taken a storybook-like path, as she was the tender age of 17-years-old at the Jimmy Awards in 2013 when her outing performing Footloose gained her the attention of a casting director who subsequently presented her with an audition in Manhattan.’I honestly thought I was auditioning for the first cover or alternate or something, which would have been amazing on its own,’ she told W magazine of her audition in June.’And it honestly wasn’t until my agent came down to North Carolina to sign the contract that I realized, and actually saw, that I was playing Kim in Miss Saigon!’ Noblezada, who is of Mexican and Filipina background, told the publication that one of the most rewarding aspects of her high-profile position is to be living proof to young girls that dreams do come true.’I love when girls who look like me say, “You inspire me as someone who is mixed, who never thought she could be anything,”‘ she said.’And it’s amazing to represent that.It really, really fills you with pride.’And it allows me to want to get to know my parts of me better.’ The ride hasn’t been without bumps, as Noblezada fought an eating disorder and anxiety issues amid her run in London theater at 17, later remedying the issues with therapy.’I recommend it to everyone,’ she said of treatment, adding that she’s ‘quite open about’ issues she’s battled and thinks ‘it should be normal to talk about’ without a stigma.In addition to her Broadway endeavors, she’s currently taking the stage at The Green Room 42 in the Big Apple, Playbill reported, in the cabaret act Girl No More.In it, press notes state the young songstress ‘sings from her heart and reveals a side of her story you’ve never heard.’ Roberts – a self-described ‘West End leading man & British baritone’ – has been seen in productions including Show Boat and Shrek.
